T1 Fractional T1

If your business doesn't require a full Internet T1 connection, you can opt for a portion of a T-1 line, otherwise known as a fractional T1. A fractional T1 line is scalable, and allows customers to benefit from the speed, performance and security of a full T1 while using only a specific number of the 24 channels on a T1 line.

Like its name suggests, a fractional T1 costs a fraction of the full T1 line. Providers typically charge per each channel they use, with the price corresponding to the channels of the full T1 line that a customer is using. The cost savings comes from the phone company's ability to allow different customers to use separate portions of the same T1.
